So, I want to drive a go-kart at the Speed Factor, how does it work?
Are you ready to experience the heart-pounding thrill of wheel to wheel indoor kart racing!
Speed Factory Indoor Karting .com puts you behind the wheel of your very own Sodi RX-7 gas-powered European racing kart.These karts have been developed by utilizing state of the art engineering by world class racing designers with a revered history in Motorsports. The technically advanced kart delivers an unbeatable combination of speed, safety and handling for drivers of all skill levels.
After arriving at the Speed Factory you will first complete a membership application provide proof of identity, pay the membership fee, attend a safety briefing and kart orientation, and then get ready to race. All of our karts are identical so no one has an unfair advantage. Every lap is timed using are state of the art automated timing and scoring system. You receive a printout of your lap times and finishing position for your personal evaluation. Each race includes the use of a DOT approved full face helmet, balaclava (head sock) and neck brace for your safety.
What are the requirements to drive?
Arrive and Drive Racing is geared for all levels of drivers, from first time go kart driver's to professional racers.
Drivers over 16 yrs & older** between 4'6" - 7'0", and under 300 lbs, can drive in all OPEN SESSIONS.
**Drivers under 18 yrs old must have signed parental approval and state issued drivers license
Jr Drivers are over 54" tall, under 18 yrs old, and able to safely operate go kart.
Jr Drivers can always drive anytime before 5pm any weekday and before 2pm on Weekends in a Jr Driving SESSION. Other times may not be available to inexperienced Jr Drivers (Other Adults and Jr drivers are not allowed to drive in the same session " Parents may drive in same session as their children")
Jr drivers can earn an OPEN SESSION licence by attending and exceeding the performance requirements in the Speed Factory Jr Driving Academy. Check with staff to get more information and to enroll in the next available Speed Factory Driving Academy.
Jr Driving Academy: NO ADDITIONAL FEES
For our younger racers, ages 9-17 years without state issued drivers license, min height of 54" tall and able to safely operate the go kart. We provide the Speed Factory Junior Driver Academy on Saturday mornings to teach the fundamentals and safety of racing.
We also have classes geared for adults who have never raced go karts and wish to get started and/or would like to get some tips on how to lower their lap times. Please ask any of our guest services team members for additional information to sign up.
What do I have to wear to drive?
Drivers must wear closed toe shoes, full face DOT approved helmet, head sock (balaclava) and neck brace. Long hair is required to be tied in pony tail and placed up inside the helmet.
Personal helmets are allowed. All helmet must be full face and at least DOT approved . Motocross helmets are allowed with goggles.
Can we have a party at the Speed Factory?
Yes, parties are our specialty. We have hospitality areas that can hold groups over 250 people, and private rooms available for any special occasion. Please contact any of our guest services team members to get additional information to help plan your next party.
Can we rent the entire Speed Factory facility for a private event?
Yes, The entire Speed Factory facility can be rented for private events by a member or corporate member, for special occasions, corporate hospitality affair or fund raiser. Please contact any of our guest services team members for additional information to plan your next big event.
